Kedah is a state that wears many hats — it’s not only well-known as the ‘rice bowl of Malaysia’, but also bound to emerge as the ‘coffee cup of Malaysia’! In 2019, NESCAFÉ launched the Grown Respectfully programme in Kedah with the aim to drive sustainability and enhance the livelihoods of local farmers.

 

Discover the NESCAFÉ Classic Kopi Kedah that is made from locally harvested coffee beans— 100% homegrown and roasted to perfection to craft its smooth and authentic taste for a unique coffee drinking experience. Since 2019, NESCAFÉ has trained more than 200 farmers and distributed 170,000 coffee seedlings to local farmers in an effort to improve their livelihoods and revitalise Malaysia’s coffee farming sector.

Grown With Respect, Savoured With Love

 

Planted and harvested in the state of Kedah, NESCAFÉ Classic Kopi Kedah is the first 100% homegrown coffee. This product marks the first milestone of our partnership efforts with the local farmers of Kedah as we continue to improve their livelihoods and revitalise the coffee farming sector in Malaysia. To date, over 200 farmers have been given training and provided with coffee seedlings for planting, while a collection centre has been established for their coffee harvests.
