Lampung Robusta Coffee

The reason is that according to data from the Directorate General of Plantations, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Lampung produced at least 106 million tons of Robusta coffee in 2018. This quite significant figure places Lampung in the top two positions in Indonesia.

 

The reason for this fantastic figure is the characteristics of Robusta coffee, which can be grown very well in the Lampung region. First, this type of coffee is very easy to grow in lowland areas such as Lampung Province. Second, the Robusta coffee type is more resistant to hotter weather or temperatures around 24–30° C.

 

 

Mandailing Arabica Coffee

 

Still on the same island, the Indonesian coffee world has another champion, Arabica coffee from the Mandailing Tribe. Mandailing Arabica coffee generally comes from the North Sumatra region and has an exotic taste with a fruity aroma.

 

Unlike Lampung Robusta, which has a more bitter taste, this coffee has a touch of chocolate and brown sugar when served. Not only that, but this complex taste comes with a thick or dense coffee texture or body and a smooth sensation on the tongue and throat.
