Why does the NESCAFÉ Original soft pack only contain 150g of coffee, while the glass jar contains 200g?
The NESCAFÉ® Original soft pack reduces the packaging weight by over 97%* compared to the NESCAFÉ® Original 200g jar including the lid. With this new packaging format, we can also save almost 60% plastic** compared to the lid of the 200g NESCAFÉ® Original jar.

Why isn’t the NESCAFÉ® Original soft pack made of paper?
There is currently no paper packaging that protects the coffee from quality-reducing effects such as oxygen and water until the best-before date.
Is the coffee in the NESCAFÉ® Original soft pack different from the NESCAFÉ® Original glass jar?
No, we use the same recipe for the soft pack as for our popular NESCAFÉ® Original glass jar.
Why does the NESCAFÉ Original soft pack only contain 150g of coffee, while the glass jar contains 200g?
Unfortunately, the entire coffee contents in a 200g soft pack would not fit in your empty NESCAFÉ® Original 200g glass. After filling the 200g jar in our factories, the jar is then vigorously shaken by our machines. This compresses the coffee granules and fits them perfectly into the glass.
